Accompanied
Posted in escuela on November 17, 2008 by Nina Lareina AdamCurrently, i have 3 reports due by Friday. So many things to do, yet so little time left! :(
“When i first entered the Church, i was a bit reluctant to walk around as i felt awkward and out of place. When the Mass started, i felt amazed seeing everyone get together and pray in unity to one God. It was then; i felt a sense of togetherness. The Priest and the Church volunteer were helpful and friendly in guiding me through my project. They were great hosts as they made me feel welcome. I did not feel that there was any cultural barrier while we were communicating with one another. It was truly a memorable and knowledgeable experience as i had come to understand more about their religion.“

Posted in alfabeto on November 13, 2008 by Nina Lareina AdamI went for relief teaching again. Since today is the last day of school for the primary school kids, i thought, “Ah nevermind. I should just go for it.” And so, i missed lectures and tutorials again.
It was quite an emotional day for me. Relief a Primary 6 class. The whole day, i was at the hall accompanying the class for their rehearsal because they have a performance for the prize-giving presentation tomorrow. So, the whole Primary 6 cohort were on the stage singing a song while a video of each graduating class was shown. Omg, i almost cried. It is as if i am the one graduating! Perhaps, it made me remember the times i was in Primary School.
You know, when i was in Primary School, i was such a brat. Everyday when i reach home from school, my mum would ask me: “Nina, what did you learn from school?” I would say: “I dont know.”
So, a month before PSLE, i would wake up at 5am every morning to do revisions before going to school. And after school, i would be sitting down doing assessment books while my mum is sitting down beside me with a cane.
My Primary 6 form teacher was such a bitch because she kept saying, “Inside your brain, there is only mud and water.” I would get “U Grade” in exams and my teacher kept pin pointing at me because i had the potential of repeating my PSLE for the second time. Eventually, i passed my PSLE with a grade of 202 and i qualified for the Express stream. 202 may not be a big deal to some, but to me, it was the greatest achievement in my life because for once, i put in tons of effort.
Anyway, after school hours end, i rushed all the way to Dover for my Financial Management tutorial. After a week of not attending school, i miss everyone!

Posted in alfabeto, corazón y amor, quiero a mi familia on November 12, 2008 by Nina Lareina AdamIn the morning, before i went for work, i hugged and kissed my grandma on the cheeks. I wish she will have a safe journey. I wanted to cry while i was hugging her, but i put on a brave front and said, “Take care grandma” with a shaky voice.
We had the same break time
Posted in alfabeto, corazón y amor on November 11, 2008 by Nina Lareina AdamSchool was great! Terence and I had the same break time! So, we went for lunch together. Did the same thing in class today. Let the kids watch Mr Bean on You Tube.
I’m doing relief teaching again tomorrow. Terence is coming too! :)

They even had birds hanging around
Alright, i’m tired and i have to wake up early tomorrow for relief teaching. Guess what? Terence is coming to the same Primary School as me for relief teaching tomorrow! I hope we will have the same break time!
Off to sleep now!
How tired? Dead tired.
Posted in como le va el trabajo, quiero a mi familia on November 9, 2008 by Nina Lareina AdamI’m feeling sad already. In 3 days time, grandma will be on the plane to Mecca. I’m going to miss her.

Posted in quiero a mi familia on November 8, 2008 by Nina Lareina AdamDinner was with family! All of us went to the Food Village at East Coast. My aunt rented a van. So, the whole family squeezed into one van! Unfortunately, we underestimated the amount of space available. Eventually, Sara and I had to sit on the floor of the van. It was fun though!
Seconds after she put the smelly cockles into her mouth, she suddenly let out and shrieked. She said her hands and mouth are smelly. She kept saying, “Ohh! I think i ate shit.”
haha. No, she did not eat shit. She ate a smelly cockle. You’re not supposed to eat a smelly cockle when you open one! haha.
She’s gone

Went home and found out that Wati had left. She went back to the maid agency in the morning. Although i always feel angry with the way she does things, thinking about her somehow made me sad because she has been with us for months.
It is up to me and my sisters to do our own laundry now! Gosh, there’s no one to help me clean my room! :(
I had a long day
Posted in alfabeto, corazón y amor on November 6, 2008 by Nina Lareina AdamOmg, the school is so big since it is new. They had 4 different blocks and i was lucky to be given a map of the school. The place which totally amazed me was the toilet. It was so well decorated! I wouldn’t mind staying in the toilet for a long time if i have a stomachache! haha.
After we left the building, we walked to Arab Street to have hot milk tea since it was too early to have our dinner. We sat and talked till our stomach started growling,
Dinner was at Swensens. I love white cream sauce and cheese! So, it didnt take me a long time to decide on the baked rice.

Attended
Posted in podría ayudarse on November 2, 2008 by Nina Lareina AdamThe convention ended with a speech by Dr Vivian Balakrishnan, Minister for Community, Youth and Sports. After which, it was followed by the passing of positions to the new team of Executive Committee members. Senior Parliamentary Secretary for the Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports (MCYS) Teo Ser Luck is now the new chairman of YP.
I had no idea that Dr Vivian Balakrishnan was the Chairman of YP for 6 years. I just found out today. At least, i learnt something new. :)
