Streaks of lights

Posted in la damita de honor on February 24, 2010 by Nina Lareina Adam

I should be studying for my final paper right now. But i just got back from dinner with my awesome girl friend! We went for a 3 course dinner at Marriot Hotel. Started the dinner at 6.30 p.m. and ended at around 10.00 p.m. Each course took us about an hour to finish! Looks can be deceiving. The serving may be small but it was enough to make our stomach reach its maximum capacity.  We were almost on the verge of letting everything out! The creme brulee was nice!

Girl talk + Laughter

Posted in la damita de honor on September 10, 2009 by Nina Lareina Adam

Thursday evening was spent with Syafiah. When it comes to breaking fast somewhere other than home, you’ve got to come early.  If not, all the seats will be taken up. Every eating place was already pack with people. So, we had to break fast at McDonalds. That was the only place with seats available. Feeling gluttony, i ordered Mega McSpicy! I have a big appetite these days.

After dinner, went shopping and spent the rest of the night at Sun Plaza Park.

My Friday

Posted in escuela, la damita de honor on August 21, 2009 by Nina Lareina Adam

I think i almost fainted in the bus while i was on my way to school. I felt so weak. I’m quite disappointed with my test marks. I got 11/20, which was 2 marks away from failing. It was an open book test but i tortured myself to study despite being so lethargic. I cant believe that was the marks i get. Why god, WHY!

While my friends like Maggie and Hong Yi are out watching movie, i’m spending my Friday night at home. Ramadan, the fasting month starts tomorrow and i’m feeling really excited! I cant wait to fast and go for night prayers at the mosque. During the month of Ramadan, paradise doors are opened while hell doors are closed and satans are chained.  Devout Muslims will be showing their devotion to Allah through intensive worship and good deeds. I guess thats why i always feel that Ramadan is a holy and peaceful month. I love that feeling.

In case you haven’t know, my room is in a mess. Papers all over the floor, rubbish piled up at one corner and the floors haven’t been swept for a VERY long time. My grandma kept nagging and saying, “You better clean your room. If not, Angels wont visit the house.” Because of that, i spent my Friday cleaning up my room. Its so clean now that i feel so much happier! You have no idea how long i take to get it clean.

After all those cleaning, i spent the remaining night chatting with Syafiah over MSN. We’ve made plans to break fast and go for night prayers together. I cant wait for it to happen! We also played UNO on Facebook till wee hours in the morning. We met a pervert and a bunch of funny people. It was fun and i can’t stop laughing to myself.

Time check: 3:35 AM already. I better to get to sleep. I’m fasting tomorrow. Yay!

Oh… and before i forget, TERENCE PASSED HIS IPPT! Yay!

The after 6

Posted in la damita de honor on July 16, 2009 by Nina Lareina Adam

Met Syafiah for dinner after school.

Photobucket

Ok, all i’m going to talk about is food. For the first time, i tried the Cinnamon melts from McDonalds. I shall consider this as my newest guilty pleasure because i”m DEFINITELY lovin it! It is warm, sugary and filled with goodness. Every bite gives you a sugar rush. And as you open the box, the alluring smell of the cinnamon bread makes you want to gobble everything up at one go! Yes, it is that pleasurable.

This is going for ONLY $2.50 at McDonalds

CIMG1949

I must admit, i’m not a big fan of durian. I’m fine with the taste, but not the smell. When Syafiah told me she wanted to get the durian pancake from Prima Deli, i told her “Eee. i dont really like durian.” She kept insisting and even claimed that once i try one, i would get hooked to it. For real, i tried and it was effing delicious! The pancake and the durian was so soft… that it felt as though it melted in my mouth! Oh, taste so good! I would want to get more!

My advice is, YOU GOT TO TRY THESE! If not you are really pathetic. going to regret it!

PS: Thanks to Syafiah for introducing these to me! :)

Cheated

CHEATER BUG! To think i stayed up late to finish the presentation slides and rushed myself like hell. When i came to class, the presentation was postponed to another day. What the hell! Should have told us earlier.

Uber fun

Posted in con la pandilla, corazón y amor, escuela, la damita de honor on May 24, 2009 by Nina Lareina Adam

Got to be one of the best time i ever had! The day started off with breakfast. Woke up early and bought the hotcakes meal for boyfriend from McDonalds. Spent some time at his place before leaving his house together with his sister. Went to collect his graduation robe from his friend before leaving for Causeway Point. Spent the evening sitting on our asses at the movie while watching ‘Angels & Demons’.

It was a pretty last minute thing when Maggie asked if anyone was free to hang out. Feeling hungry, i suggested supper at Jalan Kayu. You, know i have always preferred fish curry. So, when i requested for it at the cashier counter, i was told to pay 50 cents for a plate. Being frugal, there’s NO WAY i was  going to pay 50 cents for a plate of fish curry. I went back to the table and tried my luck by asking a random uncle if i could have fish curry. He too told me that i have to pay 50 cents for it. And so i thought, “Never mind. It’s ok.” The next thing that happened was… he came bringing me a plate of fish curry FOR FREE! I felt so thankful while Maggie accused me of seducing the uncle when obviously i wasn’t! haha.

After our supper, i wanted to bring them to Seletar Dam but i forgot the way.  I made Wee Kuang drove to the middle of nowhere and i kept saying, “Maybe it this way” to every lane till we ended up at an ulu place where only construction site was in sight.

We gave up finding for the place and even the GPS wasn’t of any assistance. Eventually, we decided to do a pit stop at Seng kang riverside park.

Photobucket

Since the place seemed empty and quiet, we didn’t really behave ourselves. We got all wacky jumping around and laughing at each other.

Photobucket

After getting enough of the scenery, we went off to Punggol Park. We made prank calls to our friends while pretending to be someone else. It may be evil to call someone at 3 in the morning, but it was funny!

Photobucket

Reached home at almost 5 in the morning. I had so much fun and i remembered hearing so much ‘ha ha ha’ throughout the night.

and stop bullying me by saying that i’m the only one without a driving license. You just wait ah! I’m going to secretly have one and the next time you make fun of me, i shall flash my license across your face! and that shall be in…. a few years time? haha.

This is the cup of tea. Look closely and you will notice that the small cup containing the tea is actually placed into another cup containing milk. Looks interesting? It took us a long time to figure out how to drink the tea.

Sweet cupcake

Posted in corazón y amor, la damita de honor on August 8, 2008 by Nina Lareina Adam

I’m so well!

Went to school in the morning for Business Law tutorial class. I must say, i am feeling so much better after a good night sleep. Could the day get any better? Oh yes, i got my Financial Management Accounting retest paper. and I PASSED! Thank god!

Ok, after so many weeks of suffering from all those boring and stressful school curriculum, i was so deprived of having my regular girlfriend sessions with my babes! Finally, i get to meet them for dinner. Although it was only for awhile, it was very meaningful for me! Nothing beats having fried fish soup noodle with milk for dinner with my dearest girls! They’re the best! :)

Anyway, after dinner went to BHG Bugis with Terence to collect the black Perllini bag which i had reserved for like months ago! Fell in love with it the moment i saw it on display at OG Orchard Point! Initially, i wanted to get the black one so badly, but it was out of stock! I bought the white one instead and reserved the black one. After so many months, the stock for the black one finally arrived. Oh yes, thankfully! :)

Got to show you something!!

Terence gave me a small National Day cupcake as a gift! Gosh, so sweet of him! :)

Does the cupcake looks like a cat or a mouse? Whatever it is, it is the cutest cupcake i’ve ever seen! Thanks darling! :)

I had a great day today! And i cant wait to watch the National Day Parade 2008 on television tomorrow. Oh no no no, i’m not going to watch the fireworks at Marina Bay. not interested to get squeezed by few hundreds of crowd. I rather sit at home and watch it on television while eating peanut butter and jam. :)

To Singaporeans, Happy national Day!

Lady luck

Posted in la damita de honor on August 7, 2008 by Nina Lareina Adam

I’m online now.

Syafiah is online now.

Nur Amalina is online now.

We were choosing toto numbers for tomorrow’s 8 million toto draw! haha. :)

We’re counting on our lady luck!

Too good to be true

Posted in corazón y amor, la damita de honor on July 22, 2008 by Nina Lareina Adam

Skipped school today. Wanted to spend time at home to study really hard for my financial management paper. But, i ended up painting nails. I didn’t know how to do most of the questions! I’m screwed for the paper. Oh, please please please let me pass this paper! :(

Dearest Nur Amalina called me in the afternoon! She nagged at me for being at home and not in school. Dearest Nur Amalina cares for me! After listening to her nagging, we talked about marriage. What a topic! Like seriously, most of our friends are either engaged or getting married soon. Yes, it is too good to be true. It seems like it was only yesterday when we were all playing catching together. One thing for sure, me and my girlfriends are far far away from wanting to get married for now. And one thing for sure, when it is my turn, i would want them to be my bridesmaids! I want white dresses and lots of red roses! :)

Went to the cinema after dinner. Watched Dark Knight! Oooh Lala! I love batman’s car! And he is so gorgeous! haha.

Skipped but out

Posted in la damita de honor on July 3, 2008 by Nina Lareina Adam
Skipped whole day of school to met my girls today!

I’m such a slow poke. It was agreed that we meet each other at 1pm for lunch. But i was so so late. I finally arrive at around 2pm and gave them a wave. My girlfriends were being good angels to wait up for me to have lunch together despite feeling really hungry. Thanks girls :) Initially, we wanted to shop around Bugis Village. But the weather was so hot! We didnt want to perspire and drain out sweat. So, we went on to Wisma and Far East Plaza instead :)

I had a great day and it was great seeing them! Planning to meet each other again on the 12th. Till then, we shall meet online on MSN! :)

21st

Posted in la damita de honor on June 18, 2008 by Nina Lareina Adam

Met my girlfriends (Amelin, Syafiah and Jacqueline) today. Celebrated Syaf’s 21st Birthday. It was funny because Amelin and Jacqueline secretly went to buy an ice-cream cake as a surprise and even got a heart shaped “Happy Birthday” Balloon for Syaf. The ice cream cake came in a box with dry ice. We got really curious seeing the smoke coming from the dry ice that we started playing with it. We touched the dry ice, tried to carry it, hit it with a plastic spoon and put it into a plastic bag.  We sat at Mac and chatted the whole night away. It was so funny and there was so much fun and laughter.

Me & Jacqueline

Me & Amelin

It was a great girls get together. Thanks babes!

Anyway, went to the movies yesterday and the day before! Watched The Incredible Hulk and The Happening. Aiyo, The happening is a gore show. It wasn’t as good as i had expected it to be. If you love seeing people jumping off buildings or killing themselves, go get yourself a seat in the theaters.

Rid the itch

Posted in como le va el trabajo, la damita de honor, no duerma esta noche on June 6, 2008 by Nina Lareina Adam

I’m so tired. Cant believe i am working! I’m suppose to be at home packing my luggage now and not working my ass off.

Mum gave me money for the Genting trip. I’ve got itchy hands. Walked around during my break time and started shopping! Went to Cotton On! I kept telling myself that i’m going to save money so that i can spend more at Genting. But the Great Singapore Sale itself is decreasing the amount of money i had saved!

Anyway, i told myself that i’ve got to stop going to Cotton On. Been buying clothes from Cotton On almost every week. While i was working, spotted so many customers holding big Cotton On plastic bags. Gosh, i wondered: “Since so many people shopped at Cotton On, i bet i’m going to see a bunch of people dressing the same on the streets.” So, ban me from Cotton On at the moment. I’ve seen so many people wearing Cotton On clothes. I beg to be different.

There weren’t much customers today. So, i took a piece of paper and started calculating numbers for 4d. I wish i had better things to do than just stand there!

Anyway, met Jacqueline after work. Sat with her under her block. She just came back from KL. So great to see her! We sat, chatted and eat biscuits.

I’m missing my girlfriends! :)

A day out in the sun

Posted in la damita de honor on April 20, 2008 by Nina Lareina Adam

A day out in the sun
Went to Pasir Ris park with the babes.

Syafiah brought along a tent.
We girls pitched the tent together.

Ok, we chose a bad spot to pitch the tent.
It wasn’t shady at all.
It was so warm.
and the sun was shining brightly directly above our tent.

Worse, it was pitched opposite some ant’s nest.
and there were so many ants.

We had a small picnic together.
Seriously, We cant stand the sun. And those ants crawling up onto us.

Look at those two with the umbrella.

Chatted the whole afternoon together. It was funny.
In less than 2 hours after we pitched the tent, we decided to pack up!
We pitched and we unpitched.

Simply because, we just cant stand the heat from the sun.

Next time, we shall go to Starbucks for a chat.
No sun. Just chocolate frappe with whipped cream and cosy sofas.
Oh ya, frappe with whipped cream is on Syafiah, right?
:)

Touching up and making up

Posted in la damita de honor on April 6, 2008 by Nina Lareina Adam

Went out with the babes today. Went shopping! haha. Walked around for 5 hours non-stop. I wish i lost some of those fatty pounds from all those walking. :) Happy lah.

Desperately need my shopping to be done by today! Told the girls: “If i dont get this shopping done, i wont be able to sleep tonight!

So, finally got all the things i wanted. Got for myself a long brown top which can cover my big ass ($10), an army green bermudas ($15) and 2 pairs of sandals ($10 and $16.90 respectively). haha. Thought i can sleep well tonight. But, after going to Cotton On at Wisma with the girls, i get so itchy thinking if i need a black long sleeve. See! Shopping is addictive. and now i cant sleep thinking if i should get that black long sleeve soon.

Anyways, the girls got for themselves a dress for only $10! :) Lala. and a bra which was on sale.

After much shopping, my darling terence came. We had dinner together before we went on to McCafe to sit and chat over some frappe. Amelin finally opened her long-due birthday present. Hope you like it! :)

I had a great day today. Enjoyed all those laughter and funny moments shared! And Amelin, stop stepping on my slipper while walking can! haha. Hey, we should do this more often and get our pocket holes burned from all those spending. haha. Ladies, thanks for walking with me all those hours. I know i can be such a pain in the neck – trying and making slow decision on what whether i want to buy. :)

Ok, So much shopping for this month. In total, i bought:
  • tops from Forever 21
  • tops from Dorothy Perkins
  • sequined top
  • bra and  panties from John Little Sale
  • bras from Sheer Romance
  • long brown top
  • bermudas and 2pairs of sandals from Bugis Street
  • covered pointed shoe from URS Inc
  • Not including other miscellaneous items like eyeshadow and stuffs.

I’m eagerly waiting for my end of month pay for shopping again! Girls, walk with me again can! haha.

Got thread?

Posted in corazón y amor, la damita de honor on February 9, 2008 by Nina Lareina Adam

Second day of the holiday today. :) Met Syafiah at Little India to do threading together! lalalala.. Finally! :)

My first experience on threading:
Oh yes, i love my eyebrows now! Its pretty! haha. I’m going threading more often. And it cost for only $6. Well, it did hurt abit but it didnt last long. I closed my eyes throughout the whole time! My tears almost rolled out and when i opened my eyes, it was red and watery! It is definitely less hurtful than plucking your eyebrow with a tweezer! :)

After threading Syaf and i went to Mustafa centre. Initially, Terence was suppose to come to show us the way to Mustafa because we were not familiar with the road. He woke up late and was on the way to meet us when we girls finally found our way while wandering around. While we were crossing the road, a guy suddenly said to me”Hey there sexy” when i passed by. What a disgusting pick up line. He then tailed Syaf and me. He tried talking to me,w anting to get to know me. Once we stepped into Mustafa Centre, I took Syaf hand and we an around in a zig zag manner. We squeezed into the empty spaces we could find. Oh yes, we manage to escape from him. Well, not for long. He then appear form know where. I just told him that i’m not interested and he said “sorry” and walked away. Eeee.

Terence came minutes after! :) We went for a late lunch at Ananda bhavan. Gosh, the food there is terrific! Ok, the interesting thing is, they will give you a queue number for your food. It’s like we are a patient waiting for a doctor for consultation. When your food is ready, your queue number will appear with a *beep* sound and you can collect the food! :) haha.

Syaf went home after the lunch while Terence and i made our way to Dhoby Ghaut. We wanted to watch Ah Long Pte Ltd but the tickets were selling fast. We went to every single movie theatre and eventually gave up. We went to Arab Street instead and spent the rest of our night there.

Left Arab st for home at around 2 plus. We took a cab home together. I got off the cab first before the cab make its way to Terence’s place. When i got home, i was searching fcor my wallet. When i called Terence, my wallet was in the cab. I forget to take it home! See, how forgetful i can get! The cab driver was nice! He offered to send the wallet to my place. he even gave his cab license plate number and his handphone number to us! After sending off Terence, he came back all the way to my place to send my wallet back to me. He is so nice! I felt bad, so i packed some chocolate and gave him a few packets of Oreo biscuits. I really appreciate his kind gesture. He was very nice.

In overall, i had a great day today! :) Love it. lalala.

Lovin it

Fast lights

Posted in la damita de honor on January 2, 2008 by Nina Lareina Adam

HAPPY 2008!

Went countdown! Watched the fireworks beside St Andrews Cathedral. Initially, wanted to go to Esplanade, but it was damn crowded. So, we stayed there. the view of the fireworks were great. Only that there were buses and big lorries blocking our view as they drove by every now and then.
Ok, i felt so cheated. Was thirsty! Went to 7-11 to get us a drink and a coke cost us $2 each. Talking about inflation for just a day. EEEeee..

After the fireworks, we head of to Suntec City to catch a movie. Ok, let me tell you, Alien VS Predator is not interesting at all. Initially, i was looking forward to it! But the show turned out to be a big dissapointed. The movie was so long and my butt hurts after sitting for so long. Dissapointed!

Well, had breakfast at Mcdonalds after the movie. Took the trian home and reached home at arounf 7 in the morning. I was so sleepy! Dead tired.. But i had fun! :)

Happy 2008 everyone.

Girls meet boys

Posted in la damita de honor on October 7, 2007 by Nina Lareina Adam
Met my girlfriends and their boyfriends today! It had been almost a year since we last met!

Ok, in case you forget, it is the fasting month. So, firstly, we break our fast together and had Briyani for dinner at Zam Zam. After a well-deserved sumptous meal, we head off to Arab street. We had sheesha, played cards and plenty of laughter together.

We played heart attack with the cards.

And NO! I did not play cheat ok! :)

Thanks girls for the great time. Meeting the both of you today made miss you both even more!
