One too many mornings

Posted in corazón y amor on February 14, 2010 by Nina Lareina Adam

I haven’t been updating this space religiously for months. And now, its 2010 already. I wonder if anyone would even read this since the blog would have long been considered dead. All those months have passed and guess what? I’m going to graduate from school soon. In fact, 3 years of school life went by just like that! and today, the boy and i celebrated our third Valentines day.

Welcomed the morning of Valentines Day, morning of Chinese New Year and morning of the year of the Tiger at Arab Street with Liyanah and Wei Lie. It was a day with too many mornings.

At about 3 in the morning, we bid farewell to the other couple and went separate ways. I was hungry. So, we went to McDonalds for breakfast. Hotcakes with butter and MILO was great! Got home at about 5 in the morning. While everyone is up to celebrate the festive holiday, i’m going to spend mine by sleeping! Sweet dreams for now.

Tricked into, the loop

Posted in corazón y amor, quiero a mi familia on October 10, 2009 by Nina Lareina Adam

This is not the first time i’ve been tricked into taking long bus rides. Apparently, the bus guide shows that the destination is only 3-4 bus stops away. But, the ride somehow took almost an hour because the bus guide was inaccurate. The bus looped at somewhere, before reaching the desired stop. Can you imagine how torturing that can be to the butt? Really. Train rides are more direct.

Went out with my sister in the afternoon. Then, went for a movie with boyfriend at night. Happy 28 months to us! :)

Fulfilled

Posted in corazón y amor on October 4, 2009 by Nina Lareina Adam

For the first time, we went Arnold’s for lunch. Boyfriend have been talking about Arnold’s chicken all week! Finally, he had his wish fulfilled.

Photobucket

After lunch, we dropped by Cold Storage supermarket. Jumping in excitement, i wanted to check if they were selling Caprisonne. And yes, they did have it! We wanted  grape. But they only had apple. I dont know about you, but this was our favourite childhood drink. Wah, fond memories!

Photobucket

In the evening, we went for a movie. Inglorious Basterds was hours long, but i loved it! After the movie, went for  supper because i was feeling darn hungry. Spent so much time with boyfriend this weekend. Now that i’m at home, i’m starting to miss him. Know what i miss the most? Hearing him snore in the middle of the night. The boy snores like baby dinosaur. How cute! haha.

But they only had apple :( Boyfriend and i love grape. This was our so-called childhood drink.

Really quick.

Weekend was great. Went to the movies on Friday to watch Phobia 2 and on Saturday, watched The Accident. Like most Sundays, went over to Terence’s place to help him pack his stuffs for camp.

The week went by really quick, dont you think?

Lost track.

Posted in corazón y amor, quiero a mi familia on September 21, 2009 by Nina Lareina Adam

Second day of Hari Raya. Cousin came for visiting today. I just realised something. My cousin have so many kids till i’ve lost track of their names. I asked my sister and she dont know too. Was wondering, if i happen to have so many kids in the future, would anyone lost track too?

Anyway, i was sick of eating sambal goreng and lontong. Been eating those for 3 days! So, met boyfriend for dinner at Sakura :)

So welcoming.

Posted in corazón y amor on September 20, 2009 by Nina Lareina Adam

Just got home from the Geylang Bazaar. Everyone is asleep. I’m wide awake. What a way to start off my Hari Raya morning… I just saw pervert masturbate in front of me. I was  searching for my keys outside the door when i saw him appear from nowhere. His hand was holding his weeny & he started shaking it. I couldn’t find my keys! I shouted for grandma and asked her for the keys. Grandma came but she was walking really slow. As soon as i stepped into the house, i slammed the door real hard so that he could hear how angry i was.

ARGH! Didn’t know Hari Raya could be so welcoming in such a way!

Forget about all that. Move on to how i spent the last day of the fasting month, shall we?  Did cleaning the entire afternoon. Met boyfriend in the evening and used up our energy carrying cartons of carbonated drinks. Delivered them to my house before we made our way to the Geylang Bazaar.

At the last minute, Zac called and wanted to join us for late dinner. One similar thing all of us look forward to: EAT GOOD FOOD! Met up with him for a meal at Geylang Serai Market and Food Centre.

Photobucket

Walked around in search curtains. All those walking lasted till almost 4:00 AM and it made us hungry. Bought food and rested our feet before we parted ways. Took the cab  home with boyfriend. He dropped me off at my block. I met the pervert after that.

Before i head on to sleep, shall wish everyone

SELAMAT HARI RAYA

Have a jolly good time tomorrow!

I’m tired and sleepy. I got home in the late morning at 5:00 AM today. Wish i could have a good sleep but i had to wake up few hours later for PEC course at PAP HQ. Guess what? I just learnt that our MM Lee’s birthday is on 16th September. I was so excited that i learnt something new. I told Terence and he said, “I know” I was like, “HUH! You know MM Lee’s birthday is on 16th September? I just found out today” and he said, “I know because my mum told me

How come my mum didn’t tell me? Because she didn’t know too! So, i announced to the whole house that MM Lee’s birthday is on 16th September. So, now we know. They showed MM Lee’s 80th birthday video presentation. Looking at how he shaped Singapore, i must say, we should be thankful with the progress we’ve made throughout the years.

Left the PAP HQ in the evening. Met Terence for dinner. I was craving for Nasi Padang and so i had Ayam Cilipadi!!! Love it!

Photobucket

Terence always order sambal goreng!
Photobucket

After dinner, met Liyanah and Wei Lie. Walked around the bazaar. It was super packed with people! I didn’t sweat as much as last year because this year i was smart enough to bring along my paper fan. Anyway, i wasn’t the only one doing that. Many others were seen with paper fans too. Now, i’m thinking if a small portable battery operated fan would have been better. haha.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Liyanah did her hands.

Photobucket

Photobucket

I cant wait to return to the bazaar on the eve of Hari Raya. Boyfriend and i do this every year! We’ll go to the supermarket together to get cartons of bottled carbonated drink. Carry them home, and head down to the bazaar. Eat good food and return back late in the morning. Its like tradition :)

I love the Hari Raya spirit.

Posted in corazón y amor on September 11, 2009 by Nina Lareina Adam

I love it whenever both of us have the same thought on things at the same time! Today, i feel like eating pizza. Boyfriend called and said, “Let’s eat at Pizza Hut.” And i went, “Hey! I was thinking about it too!

Photobucket

We can never get enough of Hawaiian pizza.

Photobucket

After the dinner, we went for a movie. There’s this local film production called “Blood Ties“. You’ve got to watch it!

Photobucket

The film is rated M18 for there is blood, gunshots and penis cutting scenes with a knife.  Not bad!  Oh, there’s also a scene where the gun was pointed and shot at a guy’s penis.  He deserved it.

We’re going to the Geylang Serai Bazaar tomorrow. I’m glad boyfriend finds it exciting to be there! Today he said, “I know what you want to eat. Kueh Nagasari, Cempedak goreng and Air khatirah. We’ll get them tomorrow

I was suprised.

He remembered :)

Three days

Posted in corazón y amor, quiero a mi familia on September 5, 2009 by Nina Lareina Adam

The three days

Its great that Boyfriend was out of camp on Thursday. We had a really good conversation during dinner. Went for a late night movie and i must say, Final Destination 4 was a total waste of time. I didn’t enjoy it at all! The entire show is about people dying in gruesome ways and i dont find that meaningful at all. I think the producer is sick to have come up with such storyline. Got home in the late morning at 4:00 AM by cab.

Late Friday night was spent at Shahrin’s 22nd birthday BBQ.

Photobucket

While the guys were busy talking about NS, i spent the time dipping my feet into the hot pool with Liyanah. A security came later to told us off  since we were not supposed to do that with proper swimming attire. Feeling embarrassed, we had to look around and make sure that no one noticed both of us getting dissed by the security guard.

After the BBQ, we had supper because some of us were still hungry. Halfway through supper, it rained so heavily. It was then, i decide to stay over.

I returned home on Saturday afternoon after a movie. Watched I love you, Beth Cooper with boyfriend. I didn’t quite like it though i find one scene super hilarious. Boyfriend on the other hand, kept laughing like monkey.

Saturday evening was spent at home with family. Celebrated grandma’s and cousin’s birthday.

Seriously, all these late nights makes me feel that the holidays are truly here for me to enjoy!

Second best

Posted in corazón y amor on August 23, 2009 by Nina Lareina Adam

I’m over the moon. Totally smitten.

Just came back from watching The Proposal. It kept me laughing and made me go “awww, that’s so sweet” at certain scenes. After the movie, i told boyfriend, “Eh Ryan Reynolds is so good looking. I’ve only admired Ben Affleck. But now, I think i admire Ryan Reynolds too! He is gorgeous, right?”

and boyfriend gave a nod in agreement.

——————————————————————————————————–

1) Ben Affleck

2) Ashton Kutcher

3) Owen Wilson

Now, where do i put Ryan Reynolds?

Ben Affleck will still be my number 1 favourite.

Photobucket

So, i’ll put Ryan right after  Ben.

Photobucket

Sorry Ashton Kutcher, move over! You’re in 3rd placing now. HAHA.

Yet to start

Posted in corazón y amor on August 22, 2009 by Nina Lareina Adam

I survived the first day of fasting! Dinner was with boyfriend at Sakunthalas restaurant. He had rice with mysore chicken while i had my second try at cheese naan.

Photobucket

Photobucket

After the hearty meal, went over to Mustafa Centre to shop.

I took peek under my plaster stitch today. Saw the scar on my feet. Its ugly :( I complained to my mum and the most comforting thing she could say was, “You’re lucky that there’s no more gap. The width of the gap was really wide before this.” Maybe i should be thankful. Scars can be removed with patience.

Photobucket

I’m so dead. Tomorrow is Sunday and i’ve yet to start revising for Wednesday’s paper. OMG! I need to sleep and wake up to study tomorrow! Lalala.

Under the conditions

Posted in corazón y amor on August 16, 2009 by Nina Lareina Adam

I just came back home from a movie. GI Joe was awesome!!! Taking some time off revision to watch a movie wouldn’t hurt a bit, right? Anyway, today’s revision with Kim was fruitful. I feel a lot more smarter now after doing the tutorials. haha. We initially started off at McDonalds. But after we were chased out by the manager, we went over to a park to continue with our revision. We were so close to nature. There was strong wind, red ants,  leaves falling onto our heads and also an odd looking green spider. Weird thing is, i was able to absorb better under that kind of condition. haha.

Had initially planned to have Seafood at East Coast for dinner but it was raining heavily. However, dinner was still great! Went to our favourite place to eat. I had my favourite dish – Rice with garlic and spring onion chicken and boyfriend had his favourite too – Rice with sweet lemon chicken.

Photobucket

and oh, i’m having toothache :(

The day started after 10

Posted in corazón y amor on August 15, 2009 by Nina Lareina Adam

Had an impromptu movie night watching “Where got ghosts” yesterday. Felt that the show was quite disappointing.  I didn’t laugh much and i looked bored during the movie. After the show ended at around 3:00 AM, spent the remaining hours gallivanting around the streets.

Got home at 10:00 AM and slept for awhile before getting ready to go out again in the evening. Went to  the Starhub centre at Dhoby Ghaut because boyfriend wanted to re-contract his mobile plan. Guess what?! The amount boyfriend paid for Samsung Omnia was equivalent to the amount my mum paid for Samsung Preston! And now Samsung Preston is already going for $0 when you sign up for a 2-year mobile plan. I complained to my mum and i cant believe how fast mobile prices can change within a week! Should have waited for a week and my mum could have bought Samsung Omnia for me instead! Wasted :( After complaining, my mum is intending to re-contract my mobile plan to get a new phone for me. Hopefully, a wifi phone because i’ve become an internet addict.

Anyway, dinner was at Jalan Kayu prata cafe. I know, i know. What was a prata cafe doing at Dhoby Ghaut? Pretty weird but its a great place. I must say, the fried rice was delicious!!! I LOVE IT.

Photobucket

Photobucket

You’ve got to try out the place. Its located next to Plaza Singapura. You should be able to notice a row of restaurants next to the building.

Ok, off to sleep now. Meeting Kim in the morning to study for our Advanced Supply Chain paper. I cant believe tomorrow is Sunday already!

Glittered

HAPPY NATIONAL DAY SINGAPORE

First day of work and i was late! Even if  i wake up 3 hours earlier to get ready, its not surprising if i cant be punctual. haha. Anyway, work was fun! I went back having purple eyeshadow and glitter on my eyelids.  After work, rushed to Bugis Street with boyfriend to get new  pair of shoes for myself. The one that i was wearing gave me blisters. By then, my stomach was growling. So hungry! Boyfriend suggested Zam Zam Nasi Briyani for dinner.

Photobucket

After dinner, we headed up to the theater and had an impromptu movie night watching “The Orphan”. Awesome show! Alright, time check: 4:00 AM. I have to sleep now. My legs are aching and i’m sooo tired!

Till then, send my regards to the sunrise.

2+2

080805

As of today, its been 4 years since i know you.

————————————————————————————————————-

Phew! I had a long day. Did shopping, had dinner and went for a movie with boyfriend.  ‘Overheard’ was a nice movie with a sad ending. I ate so much till i cant get to sleep now. My stomach feels so full and bloated! Dinner was at our favourite place, where we haven’t been to for a very long time.

My pick – Hotplate chicken rice

Photobucket

His pick – Hokkien Mee

Photobucket

Our pick  – Fried wantan.

Photobucket

Even after dinner, we still had popcorn during the movie.  Oh, and we wanted to have ice-cream too! haha. GLUTTON.

Tomorrow is National Day. I guess Singaporeans should be loving one another right now. But not in this case. Stupid b*tch. I was approaching the door of a mall. At the same time, another lady was at the opposite side of the door. She stood there looking at me. Know why? Because she was waiting for me to open the door for her. I opened the door and she rushed pass me. 3 words came to my mind. “WHAT THE FUCK!” She didn’t even allow me to go through the door first. Does she think i am her doorman? Seriously, the ugly side of Singaporeans killed my national spirit. Whatever happened to “This is home, truly”

Now, put that anger aside. I think i made the most irritating joke today. Boyfriend said, “I NS.” That made me laughed out loud. Just in case you dont know, NS stands for National Service. I said, “Dont you think that sound like “AN ASS.” So, when he said “I NS.” It sounded like “I AN ASS” to me. haha. Its like you’re telling me that you’re an ass. So funny. NS = AN ASS?

Ok, i’ve got to force myself to sleep now. First day of work tomorrow and i’m feeling nervous! Wouldn’t want to be late :)

Unsounded plan

Posted in corazón y amor, escuela on August 7, 2009 by Nina Lareina Adam

If i didn’t wake up on time, i would have missed my practical test today. I set the alarm but i didn’t remember hearing it ring. Now, thats dangerous..

————————————————————————————————–

Boyfriend was out of camp since yesterday. Initially, we planned on shopping. Feeling tired, we ditched our shopping plans and went to catch up on our sleep instead.  So, the day ended with a sumptuous dinner and a trip to the hypermarket to get 2 bags of apples.

Photobucket

I can only show you the satay we had. We were too hungry that we instantly whack our fried rice the moment it came. haha :)

Scraped

Posted in corazón y amor, quiero a mi familia on August 2, 2009 by Nina Lareina Adam

I know i can be really clumsy. Few months back, i stepped on a hair clip and it pierced my feet. Imagine pulling out a hair clip from your feet… And today, my leg got stuck between my bed.  When i pull my leg out, i could feel something scratching my feet. Initially, i thought it was a small cut. Taking a closer look, i saw a long stretch of white skin. I touched it and i could almost feel my bone. It was then i realised that a metal piece had scraped some skin off my feet. Shocked and confused, i screamed for my mum. By then, blood started oozing out from the wound.

I know i’m so troublesome. On a Sunday morning, Mum and sister had to accompany me to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.

Photobucket

We were required to wear masks. Haha. My mum looked like a ninja :)

I’m having cough for about of month already. Because of that, they transferred me to an isolated area for those with fever. No one is allowed to accompany the patient. So, my mum and sister went shopping while i sat there all alone.

Photobucket

When my name was called out, the nurse asked my purpose of visit. She thought i was having fever or something. At first, i told her i fell down and hurt my feet. Then…when  i told her i’m having cough for a month already, she was like, “Huh? 1 month?!!!” I was asked to take urine test and x-ray to confirm that i wasn’t having H1N1.  I guess they were more concerned about my cough than my bleeding feet! In the first place, i’m there for the purpose of my feet. Not for my cough!

After taking x-ray of my lungs, the nurse cleaned my wound. She used some kind of stretchable plaster to close the gap between the wound. Its similar to stitching but without using thread and needle. I swear, i would cry if she did sew my skin together.

Before i left, the doctor told me my lungs are fine. So, i’m not infected with H1N1. I was  given an injection, medication and 3 days MC. By the time everything was over, i was feeling damn hungry. I had double cheeseburger, fries, durian puff, Old Chang Kee fried chicken and porridge at one go. I’m such a pig.

Anyway, i know my bed looked harmless.

Photobucket

Look closely…

Photobucket

Thats the metal piece that scraped my skin off my feet! and it all happened because my leg was stuck in between that gap! When i met boyfriend for dinner in the evening, i can’t help it but to show him my “pitiful” face. That was to win his sympathy vote. haha. What a day!

Its August already

Banged

Posted in corazón y amor on July 26, 2009 by Nina Lareina Adam

Just came back home and i realised something. One day of the weekend have gone by and  there’s so many things to do in so little time. 48 hours during the weekend is not enough for me. I wanted to be a nerdy nerd and complete my almost due report at home.. But i thought, “HEY! I have to work hard and play hard too!”

and so, i had my fun at Liyanah’s 21st.

I laughed too much till i banged my head onto something unknowingly. The next thing i know, i was fast sleep.

What a night. and it was crazy.

We know.

Posted in corazón y amor on July 19, 2009 by Nina Lareina Adam

“You think you know crazy?”

“I’ll show you crazy. Try me, bitch!”

Went to the movies with boyfriend and watched Obsessed starring Beyonce Knowles. Those were the lines that kept playing in my head all day. Although the ending was predictable, it was good. The fighting scene in the movie made me want to throw punches in the air. A few times, i find myself on the edge of my seat as i got all worked up over the plot. Imagine this: Your husband just got into the car after a hard day’s work. How would you feel if a lady from his office suddenly get into the car and stripped in front of him? What if on one occasion, she drugged him so that she can have sex with him? What if she keep stalking and wont leave him alone? How would you feel? Angry? Stressed? Well, most of the time, i was putting myself in the wife shoes. One thing to be thankful for: The husband kept resisting and chose to remain faithful. I mean, what % of guys would resist sex from a hot and gorgeous colleague? If she made an attempt to have sex, most guys would probably give in and go ahead. Its no secret. Guy’s nature – we know.

At the moment, wherever you go, you’ll hear Michael Jackson’s songs playing at the background. In the train, a guy was blasting his ears to black or white. At a CD store, they were playing his songs and showing his video clips. At the cinema, they played his songs before screening a movie.  Be it Black or White, Smooth Criminal or “Billie Jean”, i find myself singing to his songs.

Boyfriend said something like (even if it is not his exact words, the meaning is still there), “Eh, your singing is a disaster.” Since he said that, i am more determined to practice and sing more often to him. haha.

Photobucket

Went back home with little sister.

People often say we look similar. Do we? :)

Time passes me by

Posted in corazón y amor on July 17, 2009 by Nina Lareina Adam

I was an early bird for a day. Since Term 2 of school started, i was early for my classes. for the first time TODAY. I’m proud of this achievement (even though it is nothing big)! haha.

After school, met boyfriend for dinner. I had to wait almost 3 hours for him because he booked out late. I walked around the mall and shopped a little bit before dumping myself at the library. I found a cosy spot and spent the remaining hours watching movies from my IPOD. When i got up from the seat, i could see the shape of my butt planted on it.  I bet, if you put your hand on it, you’ll feel the warmth.

Dinner was at Sakura. I’m still having cough but i insist on having fried cockles kway teow! I’m so into kway teow these few days.

Photobucket

Boyfriend didn’t order anything healthier either. He had mee goreng.

Photobucket

In addition, we had fried wantan.

Photobucket

And so, our dinner consists of nothing healthy when everything is fried.

Photobucket

After dinner, we parted ways. He had book in to camp :( while i went back home.

Well, as soon as i got home, i took the scissors and snipped off my fringe. I felt it was getting longer and most of time, it would either cover my eyes or get into my eyes. I cut it short till i ended up with bangs!

Photobucket

Anyway, i dont think there is much difference because my fringe is still covering my eyes!!! WTH!

PS: Went to his place for awhile and his mum showed his baby photos. Looking at his pictures, i feel time really went by really quick.

Just got home from a lovely day.

You cant go on with an empty stomach. Dinner was at a steakhouse, where we got romantically involved with a candle. Boyfriend saw a candle, took out his lighter and POOF! the candle was lit. I went, “Eh! Are we allowed to do that?” “We are indoors, you know!” His eyes started to wander as he scan the other tables. No one else had a lighted candle on their table. We just sat there innocently and giggled among ourselves. haha. It was funny. Which i could capture that mischievous face of his.

Photobucket

The garlic bread came first. Starving already, we instantly “whacked” our food. Leaving the basket empty, not even a single crumb was spared.

Photobucket

I had pasta!

Photobucket

and he had steak.

Photobucket

and this is an empty plate. haha.

Photobucket

After dinner, i wanted ice-cream.  Nothing can top McDonald’s hot fudge sundae! The taste of creamy vanilla and the way the chocolate melts in your mouth will make you drool when you look at the following picture.

choc_sundae

I know, you need a cup of sundae now. The taste is already lingering in your mouth.  I’m greedy for more too.

We spent the rest of the evening watching The Haunting in Connecticut at Cineleisure.  Just before the show started, they paid tribute to Michael Jackson by playing his songs. Some were singing along while moving their heads and shoulders. Anyway, someone could have strut their stuff by doing a moonwalk. haha.

Yet again, i was hungry after the movie. Went over to Burger King for Mexican drumlets. When i got home, i stuffed myself with mangosteen and rambutan. Not only was i full from all those food, i’m so full of love! So much teasing, laughing and smiles makes a great day :)
